My wife and I are both from India and we never thought we will be a proud homeowner one day. When we first started looking for a home we did what everyone does, scoured zillow. As we naively "hearted" these properties we started using words like "Zestimate" and tried to schedule viewings. 3 years ago Dan Leyden worked with me to buy my first house using the Good Neighbor Next Door (GNND) program. This program allows teachers, police officers, and firefighters to buy certain foreclosed homes in the town where you work at, for 1/2 off the listed price! We bought our 4 bed 2 bath house for $67,500! Flash forward 3 years(the required time you need to live in the house if buying a house with this program) and this summer I reached back out to Dan to sell the property, especially considering the market was so hot. My wife and I began looking for a home in the Spring of 2016. As first time home buyers, the search was very stressful. Our agent at that time did very little to relieve that stress and help us through the process. So, we decided to change agents. Hiring Devin was the best decision we ever made. The market was extremely competitive when taken into consideration the location and type of home that we were looking for. Most of the listings that met our criteria went under deposit within a couple of days. As a result, we were in a position that we needed to view potential homes as soon as they became available. Regardless of his schedule, Devin made appointments for us within 24 hours of our request. More often than not, we were able to view homes that same day. On several occasions, Devin would meet us at a property in the evening after a long day of showings to ensure that we saw the home before other potential buyers. He never made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. Our search was extensive. Devin knew that our needs and wants were very specific.
